Fashion Design
In 2025 I was accepted into VDR as both a designer and a photographer. VDR is a fashion organization for all types of creatives that come together to put on a fashion show each year. This year’s show theme was Industrial. I ended up creating a high neck, asymmetrical leather, jean and chain dress. My inspiration came from the materials that made me think industrial.
The Vetement de rue show (vdr)
I used leather for the top of the dress and focused on the placement of the seams. I made my own pattern pieces based of my model’s measurements and created a practice garment to make sure it fit properly.
For the skirt, I cut apart old jean shorts I no longer wore and leather pieces to create a layered, deconstructed look. The dark, asymmetrical panels are accented with heavy silver chains and raw, frayed edges, giving the piece a gritty, industrial feel.

In 2025 I took part in Hokie Designers, a Fashion Club at Virginia Tech, as the creative director, main photographer, and a designer. This years show was in partnership with PAWS, an organization for spreading awareness for pet adoptions. Our theme was earth tones to symbolizing the grounding feeling a home can bring that pets can hopefully feel someday.
Struttin’ for Paws fashion show
I designed two new mens looks and re-styled my design from the VDR show. I created a brown vest like top with open sides and matching pleated pants with pockets. For the second look I created a silk matching green look with a sleeveless shirt with a front seam and matching straight leg pants. I had never designed or sewn for men before this show so I am very pleased with the way the pants came out. For the dress I removed the chains and decided on lace up heels rather than leather boots to lighten up the look and give it a softer feel.

In Spring 2024 I took part in Hokie Designers, a Fashion Club at Virginia Tech where I created this purple baby-doll dress. This was my first time catering measurements towards a model, rather than myself. Other than the goal of getting the sizing correct I wanted to push my self taught skills to get the seams as neat as possibly.
Spring fever fashion show
The theme was Spring so I went with a cute mini dress that I felt would be wore in the spring time. I used a light purple cotton fabric for a slightly puffier skirt. I added lace on the under-bust and around the bottom of the skirt for a change of texture and a pop off a different color to bring your eyes from top to bottom of the dress.
