Swire coca-cola poster

I designed this mock poster for Swire Coca-Cola based on quote said in their “Who Are We” video. I chose to use the Coca-Cola Dynamic Ribbon Device (DRD) as the reference shape for a dashed line to symbolize a road for a red Coca-Cola truck. I wanted the truck and road because of the “We’ll be there” showing how Swire trucks will always be delivering drinks to the people.

I also added the patterns Swire tends to use in their graphics to keep the branding consistent, lowering their opacity to keep them from over-powering the message of the poster.

  • Initial Sketch

    Took quotes from “Who Are We” video and sketched an idea based on the second quote

    Took inspiration from the “to Win” campaign font for the “We’ll be there”

  • Draft 1

    Initial design based off my sketch

  • draft 2

    Took away top pattern and tried a gradient pattern at the bottom. Increased “We’ll be there” font size.

  • Draft 3

    Got rid of the flag and tried the text above instead. Moved writing at the top to be on the left with a new pattern in the top right corner to balance it.

  • Draft 4

    Smaller “we’ll be there” font. Logo in the bottom right in line with the pattern at the bottom. Cropped poster to a 4:5 aspect ratio to take away some of the empty space.

    Realized, to respect the DRD, I needed to not have anything on top of it so I moved the truck and road dashes above for the final version.
